videos occasionally, then this is also perfect for you.
Now let's go into the specific: (if you want to read more customer reviews that I quoted in
the below, go to the top right product image and click the link below it)
Ergonomics and Handling of the 600D
This camera is only 4.2 pounds. The buttons are on the right side of the LCD view screen, and there are plenty of rooms for the hands to hold the camera without touching the screen or accidently press on any button. With this light weight and easy to hold design, you can hold it with one of either hands, from the left or right. It is an improvement upo the T2i.
The tilt and swivel 1,040k dot LCD monitor allows shooting from high or low angles. Photographers who want to experiment with Video will love being able to put the Rebel T3i on a Tripod and still easily compose their work.
Hassle Free Picture Effects And Editing
It is very easy to edit the picture using Photoshop. If you are not a Photoshop Expert there are a number of other image editing products you can use including Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, and Some might still want to do some post editing after taking the shots, but some think they can do without. The EOS T3i has scene intelligent auto, flexible vari-angles LCD view screen and a set of 5 creative filters, which include the new fish eye effect (awesome!!) honestly, with this camera, you don't need Photoshop.

Real Time Instructions To Help You Learn As You Shoot
The best way to learn a new skill and master it is to learn by doing. As you learn, you make mistake, but each one you make teaches you something. With T3i, it has simple instruction that teaches you the basic so you don't get confused. It will point you toward the direction so you can start from there, instead of getting lost. It is very convenient because you don't have to look up for the information. It comes up on the screen as you need it while you shoot. We all know that it can be a pain to look up something and read while doing something. T3i spares you this pain, and make the learning more easy.
Canon T3i comes with a built in instruction assistant. It tells beginners (or rusty intermediates) what to do to get specific types of shots. For example, if you choose macro mode, it says "for closeups of small objects such as flowers, shoot as close as possible."
Shooting At Night Without Flash
This model, which has the same capacity of T2i and a bit more, is very good with shooting in dim light. It doesn't require flash light, and the image it produces is still good. For those who are in the know, it can shoot up to a very high ISO and the quality of the image is still fine. The ISO can be expanded even more, to 12800, but it would require some light editing with photoshop.
The Rotating Real LCD Screen
With the rotating screen you don't need to buy an expensive view finder. It allows you to shoot from unusually high or low angle. The screen it also glaring resistant.
High Definition Video
The T3i 600D allows you to record very high definition video clips. Sometimes you might feel that a still picture cannot aptly capture the moment like a short video clips would. The image quality of the HD video function is superb. You might want to add your own music tracks in between clips or in the background, because the intent of the design of this function is for that. It is not a video camera, so if you want to record an event, or zoom in and out while on the move, then you need a video camera.
This model is for artsy people who want to produce artsy pictures and videos. Don't use it to produce a YouTube video! ;)
Auto Mode Self Configuration
The auto mode of this unit will automatically adjust the settings as you shoot different things—landscape, close-up, portrait...
Coming from a point/shoot world -- this camera was easy to use right out of the box on auto mode. I don't have the steadiest of hands but I could take very nice pictures with this, even in low light
A+ Automatic mode
Canon helps beginners get more creative with photography by letting even the most entry-level novice make camera adjustments with easy to understand setting options. In automatic shooting modes such as Portrait, Landscape, Close-up, Action and Night Scene, Canon users can access a quick menu screen to make adjustments as per the scene’s ambience. When shooting in one of Canon’s “Basic Zones” users can make adjustments as per the scene’s lighting or scene type. An easy-to-read menu lets you select an ambience setting from Vivid, Soft, Warm, Intense, Cool, Brighter, Darker to Monochrome, while a Lighting setting allows users to select from Daylight, Shade, Cloudy, Tungsten light, Fluorescent light or Sunset.
High Speed Image Processing
This unit shoot pretty fast. For those who are in the know, it uses 18.0 MP CMOS sensor and DIGIC 4 Image Processor, which mean high image quality and speed. It shoots 3.7 frames per second. Unless you need to shoot wildlife, sport event, or actions, you will have more than enough to play around with. If you do need to shoot high speed action, get the 70D, a professional DSLR camera.
Should You Get A Better Len?
The kit len that comes with
T3i is a newer design that Canon has created specifically for this
model. If you want to take even better shot under dim condition, or if
you have shaky hand, then you can buy this lens,
The new EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II zoom lens features the wide-angle to mid-range zoom flexibility with the advantage of Canon’s optical lens-shift image stabilization system that yields up to a full four stops of image-shake correction. The version II of this lens includes new IS algorithms to distinguish between normal photographing and when the camera is panning to automatically provide the optimal level of image-shake correction. – Ken Rockwell
A very good lens can sometime be more expensive than the camera itself, because it helps you produce better picture. A good camera can produce superb image if the len is superb.
Customers who bought the T2i mostly bought the lens on the right when they look for a better len for their T2i (now replaced by T3i)

Great hub! This is why I love my 600D, even if I'm still fumbling with its functions and all. I did't have time to read the manual so this hub is good education. Thanks!
